Labor Related Rate Increase

As many of you know, Pacific Maritime Association will increase man hour assessments on longshore labor effective July 4, 2009. The assessment increase coupled with the wage increase will cause the following changes to Port of Vancouver USA Terminal Tariff No. 5:

  • Increase man hour rates, auto throughput, handling, truck loading, and all labor related rates up to 12%.
  • Increase service & facilities charges by 6%.

Changes to the port tariff will be effective July 4, 2009. Please ensure you are using the correct tariff dated July 4, 2009.
