Light agenda set for Tuesday’s port commission meeting
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Just one action item is on the agenda for Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Port of Vancouver Board of Commissioners.
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 28 in the Commission Room at the Port of Vancouver Administration Building (3103 NW Lower River Road).
Brian Wolfe, Nancy Baker and Jerry Oliver, the commissioners who represent three districts across greater Vancouver, will be asked to authorize port staff to award a public works contract to Axis Crane LLC (Seattle) for the removal of old pilings, and installation of new ones, at two specific dock locations at the port.
The piling replacement project is included in the 2008 Port of Vancouver capital budget, and the contract awarded is for a not-to-exceed amount of $158,924.16 (including Washington State sales tax).
The meeting will be televised live on CVTV Channel 21, beginning at 9:30 a.m., and will be re-cablecast at various times over the next two weeks. It will also be available live (streaming) online at www.cvtv.org, and will be archived on the same website, for replay anytime 24 hours a day, shortly after the meeting is over.
