New Port of Vancouver industrial property given a historic name

VANCOUVER, Wash. – With its 100-year anniversary coming in 2012, the Port of Vancouver USA is already beginning celebrations of its first century, with an eye on the second.

The port recently announced that its newest light industrial property – formerly known as “Parcel 8” – has been officially named the Centennial Industrial Park.

Port officials “flip the switch” on Groundwater Cleanup Facility

Port of Vancouver USA officials have “flipped the switch” on a new Groundwater Cleanup Facility that will help speed the completion of the cleanup of TCE contamination in groundwater under the Fruit Valley neighborhood in West Vancouver.

Holiday Closure Notice - Friday, July 3 & Monday, July 6

The Port of Vancouver USA will be closed for receipt and delivery of cargo  on Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6, 2009 in observance of the Independence  Day holiday. Vessel activity will not be interupted July 4, however, there will be no vessel acitivity on July 5, due to an ILWU no-work holiday. The administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3.
